This is the story of ‘La Pietà’ adorned with freshwater pearls, seed pearls and 14kt gold spheres, encasing a antique grand tour circa 1790 red sulfur intaglio made by James Tassie, depicting a bull. A vintage framed shadow box, lined with brown silk matting with conservation UV clear acrylic. The brass plaque of La Pietà of Christ. Likely used as an ornament on the front of a Bible. Found in Rome, Italy.
